1A Song of Degrees. Blessed are all they that fear the Lord; who walk in his ways.
1Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
2Thou shalt eat the labours of thy hands: blessed art thou , and it shall be well with thee.
2For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine on the sides of thy house: thy children as young olive -plants round about thy table.
3Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that fears the Lord.
4Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.
5May the Lord bless thee out of Sion; and mayest thou see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
5The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6And mayest thou see thy children's children. Peace be upon Israel.
6Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.
