1Alleluia, a Psalm of Aggaeus and Zacharias. Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Sion.
1Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
2For he has strengthened the bars of your gates; he has blessed your children within you.
2For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.
3He makes your borders peaceful, and fills you with the flour of wheat.
3He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
4He sends his oracle to the earth: his word will run swiftly.
4He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
5He gives snow like wool: he scatters the mist like ashes.
5He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
6Casting [forth] his ice like morsels: who shall stand before his cold?
6He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
7He shall send out his word, and melt them: he shall blow [with] his wind , and the waters shall flow.
7He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
8He sends his word to Jacob, his ordinances and judgments to Israel.
8He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
9He has not done so to any [other] nation; and he has not shown them his judgments.
9He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord.
