3Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy might.
3Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
4O God, hear my prayer; hearken to the words of my mouth.
4Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
5For strangers have risen up against me, and mighty men have sought my life: they have not set God before them. Pause.
5For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
6For lo! God assists me; and the Lord is the helper of my soul.
6Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
7He shall return evil to mine enemies; utterly destroy them in thy truth.
7He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
8I will willingly sacrifice to thee: I will give thanks to thy name, O Lord; for [it is] good.
8I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good.
9For thou hast delivered me out of all affliction, and mine eye has seen [my desire] upon mine enemies.
9For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
