2O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath, neither chasten me in thine anger.
2O Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
3Pity me, O Lord; for I am weak: heal me, O Lord; for my bones are vexed.
3Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
4My soul also is grievously vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long?
4My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long?
5Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: save me for thy mercy's sake.
5Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies’ sake.
6For in death no man remembers thee: and who will give thee thanks in Hades?
6For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
7I am wearied with my groaning; I shall wash my bed every night; I shall water my couch with my tears.
7I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
8Mine eye is troubled because of my wrath; I am worn out because of all my enemies.
8Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
9Depart from me, all ye that work iniquity; for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
9Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.
10The Lord has hearkened to my petition; the Lord has accepted my prayer.
10The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.
11Let all mine enemies be put to shame and sore troubled: let them be turned back and grievously put to shame speedily.
11Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
