King James Version

Masoretic-derived · highlighted where altered

2We will give thanks to thee, O God, we will give thanks, and call upon thy name: I will declare all thy wonderful works .
2Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.
3When I shall take a set time, I will judge righteously.
3When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
4The earth is dissolved, and all that dwell in it: I have strengthened its pillars . Pause.
4The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
5I said unto the transgressors, Do not transgress; and to the sinners, Lift not up the horn.
5I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
6Lift not up your horn on high; speak not unrighteousness against God.
6Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
7For [good comes] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert mountains.
7For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
8For God is the judge; he puts down one, and raises up another.
8But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
9For [there is] a cup in the hand of the Lord , full of unmingled wine; and he has turned [it] from side to side, but its dregs have not been wholly poured out; all the sinners of the earth shall drink [them].
9For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
10But I will exult for ever: I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
11And I will break all the horns of sinners; but the horns of the righteous one shall be exalted.
11All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
