1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2Speak to the children of Israel, and take first-fruits of all, who may be disposed in their heart to give; and ye shall take my first-fruits.
2Speak to the children of Israel, that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you shall take my offering.
3And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold and silver and brass,
3This is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, bronze,
4and blue, and purple, and double scarlet, and fine spun linen, and goats' hair,

9And thou shalt make for me according to all things which I shew thee in the mountain; even the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all its furniture: so shalt thou make it.

10And thou shalt make the ark of testimony of incorruptible wood; the length of two cubits and a half , and the breadth of a cubit and a half, and the height of a cubit and a half .
10“They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Its length shall be two and a half cubits, its width a cubit and a half, and a cubit and a half its height.
11And thou shalt gild it with pure gold, thou shalt gild it within and without; and thou shalt make for it golden wreaths twisted round about.
11You shall overlay it with pure gold. You shall overlay it inside and outside, and you shall make a gold molding around it.
12And thou shalt cast for it four golden rings , and shalt put them on the four sides; two rings on the one side , and two rings on the other side .
12You shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in its four feet. Two rings shall be on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.
13And thou shalt make staves [of] incorruptible wood, and shalt gild them with gold.
13You shall make poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.
14And thou shalt put the staves into the rings on the sides of the ark, to bear the ark with them.
14You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark.
15The staves shall remain fixed in the rings of the ark.
15The poles shall be in the rings of the ark. They shall not be taken from it.
16And thou shalt put into the ark the testimonies which I shall give thee.
16You shall put the covenant which I shall give you into the ark.
17And thou shalt make a propitiatory, a lid of pure gold; the length of two cubits and a half , and the breadth of a cubit and a half .
17You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two and a half cubits shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its width.
18And thou shalt make two cherubs graven in gold, and thou shalt put them on both sides of the propitiatory.
18You shall make two cherubim of hammered gold. You shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.
19They shall be made, one cherub on this side, and another cherub on the other side of the propitiatory; and thou shalt make the two cherubs on the two sides.
19Make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end. You shall make the cherubim on its two ends of one piece with the mercy seat.
20The cherubs shall stretch forth their wings above, overshadowing the propitiatory with their wings; and their faces shall be toward each other, the faces of the cherubs shall be toward the propitiatory.
20The cherubim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat.
21And thou shalt set the propitiatory on the ark above, and thou shalt put into the ark the testimonies which I shall give thee.
21You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the covenant that I will give you.
22And I will make myself known to thee from thence, and I will speak to thee above the propitiatory between the two cherubs, which are upon the ark of testimony, even in all things which I shall charge thee concerning the children of Israel.
22There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the covenant, all that I command you for the children of Israel.
23And thou shalt make a golden table of pure gold, in length two cubits, and in breadth a cubit, and in height a cubit and a half .
23“You shall make a table of acacia wood. Its length shall be two cubits, and its width a cubit, and its height one and a half cubits.
24And thou shalt make for it golden wreaths twisted round about, and thou shalt make for it a crown of an hand-breadth round about.
24You shall overlay it with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it.
25And thou shalt make a twisted wreath for the crown round about.
25You shall make a rim of a hand width around it. You shall make a golden molding on its rim around it.
26And thou shalt make four golden rings; and thou shalt put the four rings upon the four parts of its feet under the crown.
26You shall make four rings of gold for it, and put the rings in the four corners that are on its four feet.
27And the rings shall be for bearings for the staves, that they may bear the table with them.
27The rings shall be close to the rim, for places for the poles to carry the table.
28And thou shalt make the staves of incorruptible wood, and thou shalt gild them with pure gold; and the table shall be borne with them.
28You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be carried with them.
29And thou shalt make its dishes and its censers, and its bowls, and its cups, with which thou shalt offer drink-offerings: of pure gold shalt thou make them.
29You shall make its dishes, its spoons, its ladles, and its bowls with which to pour out offerings. You shall make them of pure gold.
30And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me continually.
30You shall set bread of the presence on the table before me always.
31And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold; thou shalt make the candlestick of graven work: its stem and its branches, and its bowls and its knops and its lilies shall be of one piece .
31“You shall make a lamp stand of pure gold. The lamp stand shall be made of hammered work. Its base, its shaft, its cups, its buds, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it.
32And six branches proceeding sideways, three branches of the candlestick from one side of it, and three branches of the candlestick from the other side.
32There shall be six branches going out of its sides: three branches of the lamp stand out of its one side, and three branches of the lamp stand out of its other side;
33And three bowls fashioned like almonds, on each brancha knop and a lily; so to the six branches proceeding from the candlestick,
33three cups made like almond blossoms in one branch, a bud and a flower; and three cups made like almond blossoms in the other branch, a bud and a flower, so for the six branches going out of the lamp stand;
34and in the candlestick four bowls fashioned like almonds, in each branch knops and the flowers of the same.
34and in the lamp stand four cups made like almond blossoms, its buds and its flowers;
35A knop under two branches out of it, and a knop under four branches out of it; so to the six branches proceeding from the candlestick; and in the candlestick four bowls fashioned like almonds.
35and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of the lamp stand.
36Let the knops and the branches be of one piece , altogether graven of one piece of pure gold.
36Their buds and their branches shall be of one piece with it, all of it one beaten work of pure gold.
37And thou shalt make its seven lamps: and thou shalt set on [it] the lamps, and they shall shine from one front .
37You shall make its lamps seven, and they shall light its lamps to give light to the space in front of it.
38And thou shalt make its funnel and its snuff -dishes of pure gold.
38Its snuffers and its snuff dishes shall be of pure gold.
39All these articles [shall be] a talent of pure gold.
39It shall be made of a talent of pure gold, with all these accessories.
40See, thou shalt make them according to the pattern shewed thee in the mount.
40See that you make them after their pattern, which has been shown to you on the mountain.
1And thou shalt make the tabernacle, ten curtains of fine linen spun, and blueand purple, and scarlet spun [with] cherubs; thou shalt make them with work of a weaver.
1“Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, with cherubim. You shall make them with the work of a skillful workman.
2The length of one curtain shall be eight and twentycubits, and one curtain shall be the breadth of four cubits: there shall be the same measure to all the curtains .
2The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits: all the curtains shall have one measure.
3And the five curtains shall be joined one to another, and [the other] five curtains shall be closely connected the one with the other.
3Five curtains shall be coupled together to one another, and the other five curtains shall be coupled to one another.
4And thou shalt make for them loops of blue on the edge of one curtain, on one side for the coupling, and so shalt thou make on the edge of the outer curtain for the second coupling.
4You shall make loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain from the edge in the coupling, and you shall do likewise on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in the second coupling.
5Fifty loops shalt thou make for one curtain, and fifty loops shalt thou make on the part of the curtain answering to the coupling of the second, opposite [each other], corresponding to each other at each point.
5You shall make fifty loops in the one curtain, and you shall make fifty loops in the edge of the curtain that is in the second coupling. The loops shall be opposite one another.
6And thou shalt make fifty golden rings; and thou shalt join the curtains to each other with the rings, and it shall be one tabernacle.
6You shall make fifty clasps of gold, and couple the curtains to one another with the clasps. The tabernacle shall be a unit.
7And thou shalt make for a covering of the tabernacle skins with the hair on, thou shalt make them eleven skins.
7“You shall make curtains of goats’ hair for a covering over the tabernacle. You shall make eleven curtains.
8The length of one skin thirty cubits, and the breadth of one skin four cubits: there shall be the same measure to the eleven skins.
8The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits: the eleven curtains shall have one measure.
9And thou shalt join the five skins together, and the six skins together; and thou shalt double the sixth skin in front of the tabernacle.
9You shall couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shall double over the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tent.
10And thou shalt make fifty loops on the border of one skin, which is in the midst for the joinings; and thou shalt make fifty loops on the edge of the second skin that joins it.
10You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outermost in the coupling, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain which is outermost in the second coupling.
11And thou shalt make fifty brazen rings; and thou shalt join the rings by the loops, and thou shalt join the skins, and they shall be one.
11You shall make fifty clasps of bronze, and put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.
12And thou shalt fix at the end that which is over in the skins of the tabernacle; the half of the skin that is left shalt thou fold over, according to the overplus of the skins of the tabernacle; thou shalt fold it over behind the tabernacle.
12The overhanging part that remains of the curtains of the tent—the half curtain that remains—shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.
13A cubit on this side, and a cubit on that sideof that which remains of the skins, of the length of the skins of the tabernacle: it shall be folding over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and that side, that it may cover it.
13The cubit on the one side and the cubit on the other side, of that which remains in the length of the curtains of the tent, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.
14And thou shalt make for a covering of the tabernacle rams' skins dyed red, and blue skins as coverings above.
14You shall make a covering for the tent of rams skins dyed red, and a covering of sea cow hides above.
15And thou shalt make the posts of the tabernacle of incorruptible wood.
15“You shall make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright.
16Of ten cubits shalt thou make one post, and the breadth of one post of a cubit and a half .
16Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and one and a half cubits the width of each board.
17Two joints shalt thou make in one post, answering the one to the other: so shalt thou do to all the posts of the tabernacle.
17There shall be two tenons in each board, joined to one another: thus you shall make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
18And thou shalt make posts to the tabernacle, twenty posts on the north side .
18You shall make twenty boards for the tabernacle, for the south side southward.
19And thou shalt make to the twenty posts forty silver sockets ; two sockets to one post on both its sides, and two sockets to the other post on both its sides.
19You shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.
20And for the next side , toward the south, twenty posts,
20For the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, twenty boards,
21and their forty silver sockets: two sockets to one post on both its sides, and two sockets to the other post on both its sides.
21and their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
22And on the back of the tabernacle at the part which is toward the [west] thou shalt make six posts.
22For the far side of the tabernacle westward you shall make six boards.
23And thou shalt make two posts on the corners of the tabernacle behind.
23You shall make two boards for the corners of the tabernacle in the far side.
24And it shall be equal below, they shall be equal toward the same part from the heads to one joining; so shalt thou make to boththe two corners, let them be equal.
24They shall be double beneath, and in the same way they shall be whole to its top to one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.
25And there shall be eight posts, and their sixteen silversockets; two sockets to one post on both its sides, and two sockets to the other post.
25There shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
26And thou shalt make bars of incorruptible wood; five to one post on one side of the tabernacle,
26“You shall make bars of acacia wood: five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
27and five bars to one post on the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars to the hinder posts, on the side of the tabernacle toward the sea.
27and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the far side westward.
28And let the bar in the middle between the posts go through from the one side to the other side.
28The middle bar in the middle of the boards shall pass through from end to end.
29And thou shalt gild the posts with gold; and thou shalt make golden rings, into which thou shalt introduce the bars, and thou shalt gild the bars with gold.
29You shall overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars. You shall overlay the bars with gold.
30And thou shalt set up the tabernacle according to the pattern shewed thee in the mount.
30You shall set up the tabernacle according to the way that it was shown to you on the mountain.
31And thou shalt make a veil of blueand purpleand scarlet woven, and fine linen spun: thou shalt make it cherubs [in] woven work .
31“You shall make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cherubim. It shall be the work of a skillful workman.
32And thou shalt set it upon four posts of incorruptible wood overlaid with gold; and their tops [shall be] gold, and their four sockets [shall be] of silver.
32You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold; their hooks shall be of gold, on four sockets of silver.
33And thou shalt put the veil on the posts, and thou shalt carry in thither within the veil the ark of the testimony; and the veilshall make a separation for you between the holy and the holy of holies.
33You shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring the ark of the covenant in there within the veil. The veil shall separate the holy place from the most holy for you.
34And thou shalt screen with the veil the ark of the testimony in the holy of holies.
34You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the covenant in the most holy place.
35And thou shalt set the table outside the veil, and the candlestick opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle; and thou shalt put the table on the north side of the tabernacle.
35You shall set the table outside the veil, and the lamp stand opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south. You shall put the table on the north side.
36And thou shalt make a screen for the door of the tabernacle of blue, and purple, and spun scarletand fine linen spun, the work of the embroiderer.
36“You shall make a screen for the door of the Tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of the embroiderer.
37And thou shalt make for the veil five posts, and thou shalt gild them with gold; and their chapiters shall be gold; and thou shalt cast for them five brazen sockets .
37You shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia, and overlay them with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold. You shall cast five sockets of bronze for them.
